While at the American Music Awards on Sunday, Playboy’s Miss October 1993 revealed on the red carpet that she’s joined the popular dating website in hopes of finding “a man’s man.” She split from Jim Carrey last year after five years together, and it seems she hasn’t had much luck since.
“It’s so hard out here [in Los Angeles]. The guys are like chicks out here,” McCarthy told Radar Online. “There’s no real guy guys, so maybe importing from somewhere will be smart. Anyone not from L.A. I think.”
She elaborated to Access Hollywood that she’s from Chicago, “where guys eat meat and potatoes. They don’t know what a vegetarian means. Out here, they want to borrow my makeup and concealer. I want to bring a little bit of importing into my life hopefully, and look for guys outside of L.A.”
The 39-year-old blonde actress, currently appearing on “Two and a Half Men,” said that she “checked the men between 35 to 48” box for possible matches on the site.
Fans won’t be able to find her profile easily on the site, however. McCarthy said she’s not using her real name or posting any revealing personal data on Match.com — so users searching for Playboy, MTV, or her work with autism awareness won’t have much luck finding Jenny.
But if a man does successfully stumble on her secret dating profile, they’ll be relieved to know looks aren’t important to the former model.
“I don’t care if they have a big nose. I don’t care if they’re bald. Just really sweet and [someone] who’s a perfect reflection of who I am now,” she told Access Hollywood. “They have to have a job. I’d like them to at least be able to buy dinners and stuff like that. That is important.”
