DatesOut today announces the launch of its free dating site with a difference. Seeking to modernise the online dating experience, DatesOut encourages singles to post great date ideas at set times and places. Users then choose their partner from those who’ve shown interest or alternatively, invite other site members along to their date.
By focussing on the date idea, DatesOut helps keep dating informal, taking the pressure off meeting someone for the first time. And by using the date idea to showcase their personality, users can design their date to be as low-key or highbrow as they wish. The process is designed to mirror real-life, to get singles off the computer and straight to the date.
“We’re delighted to be able to offer Londoners a great new way to meet each other. We’ve listened to users’ issues with online dating and reacted accordingly. 51% of inner-city Londoners are currently single, we’ve got to do something about that!” Says James Barrett, co-founder of the site. “We want to give people the chance to meet someone they like, doing something they love.”
The site launches today (DatesOut.com) and as a special introductory offer all users who sign up before February 2012 will receive a free 6-month premium subscription. You can expect to find access to great dates with fun local people, date ideas if you’re stuck for inspiration and to help uncover the best things to do in your city and access to DateViews, the must-read blog for dating psychology and style tips.
